built by students who saw a gap —

and decided to close it.

Peak Assist started inside a college dorm at Colorado College with one simple idea: students deserve real experience, and businesses deserve real support.

Nick Brashear & Kyle Kihlberg — Co-Founders

who built peak assist

Nick Brashear and Kyle Kihlberg are students at Colorado College and members of the varsity basketball team.

Both came into college with an entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to build something real — not just for themselves, but for the community around them.

Peak Assist is a direct reflection of that.

how it started

Peak Assist didn’t start with a business plan.

It started with a conversation.

Walking out of class one day, Kyle turned to Nick and suggested they start something together. That night, sitting in their dorm room, they began throwing around ideas — testing what could actually work.

Then it clicked.

They looked at the environment they were in — a campus full of driven students looking for direction, surrounded by local businesses that needed support — and realized something was missing.

There was no bridge between the two.

So they built one.

when it became real

Not long after, fresh out of basketball practice, still in their gear, they made the call that landed their first partnership.

Sitting on a bench outside, they realized this wasn’t just an idea anymore.

It was real.
